Integrity Above All
This is really a disappointment. I thought that at least, I was going to have My Fetish Marathon Party to cheer Me up since there was no Black & Blue Ball during the marathon this year. Well, I just got a call from the owner of the beautiful, completely private venue that I have chosen to hold My Events, saying that the air-conditioner is broken, a part is needed to fix it, and that the technician says it will take 3 to 5 days for the part to arrive (so, that means 7 to 10 days in real-world experience). I will admit that as soon as I hung up the phone, I had a few primal screams. My ego was attempting to battle Me with thoughts of, "But, You have had a Fetish Marathon Party every year since you returned to NYC! You have to have one to keep with tradition! Perhaps, a bunch of fans..." I forbid it! Imagine U/us in O/our Fetish Finest sweating in non-enjoyable ways! No, let's NOT imagine it! As I always remind people, I am nothing like far-too-many-other event promoters and I do NOT have parties to make money - especially at the expense of My Guests. I take pride in the locations I choose, the wines I serve, the beauty and quality of My G/guests. My integrity is greatly based on My belief that if Y/you aren't going to do something right, don't do it at all. I don't want people who aren't actually having hot flashes to feel like they are! If I am not comfortable, I know that Y/you will not be comfortable. Comfort, good vibes, beautiful atmosphere, fabulous people and intellectual stimulation coupled with artistic Play are what My Parties are known for. I intend to maintain My reputation for excellence. There is no way that I would ever have an event where W/we could not be comfortable . Fortunately, the owner of the club is a person who, like Myself, has tremendous integrity and has offered to give Me another night later in the month or in early July. I will most definitely keep Y/you posted. I am so very sorry that I will not get the chance to Party with Y/you in Classic Fetish style this marathon. I am now going to have a glass of wine, an herbal bubble bath, chocolate fondue, light candles, and listen to one of My favorite operas or perhaps, some fabulous, classic jazz. This will be the first step to getting over My intense disappointment. I encourage Y/you to go to the Fetish Marathon website to find something to do. The Good News is that I will begin conducting some of My Workshops in the next few weeks, so be certain that you are on My Mailing List for info! See Y/you around this weekend...
