   As many people already know, My Mission is to restore Fetish to its glorious status of a positive, Lifestyle enhancement and spiritual-evolutionary path and to disassociate the sleeze-fest, mainstream concepts that We have to contend with. 

Sadly, more and more ... "places" are operating with dummes calling themselves "Mistresses" and the lack of training of these employees and their clients who make demands while pretending to be subs-for-the-dollars-they-spend are exponentially abominating Our Scene each day.  There is no training on any level for any one. 

(Which reminds Me: does anyone know how many "prodommes" actually took any of the free technique classes offered by TES after the Nutcracker Suite fiasco?  Nothing was advertised about the success of TES's efforts to improve the "ignorance situation".)

Fortunately, I have been patient and established Myself and My views quite clearly to attract the right types of people and energies who are now coming together to foster The Fetish Evolution.

Hopefully, the Fetish Evolution WILL be televised!  (That play on words links to a glimpse into history for those who don't know the work of Gil Scott Heron.)

   Each day, I receive more and more email from people I have and have not met who connect with Me because they TRUST My Vision and My Mission.  So, I have decided to include a new section in My Newsletter ~ Dear Mistress Didi* ~ and perhaps, keep the archives on My Website or in a blog ~ where I will share the questions, thoughts, and blessings from Our fellow Fetishists.  The best way for People of Like Energies to connect is through a common matrix.  Dear Mistress Didi* is My new contribution to Our connection.  See below.

     My Grand Audience Soirees were a lot of fun - despite scheduling changes and last minute emergencies.  I will definitely repeat the process as the Autumn rolls around.  The best part was meeting new people in a comfortable environment where everyone could be T/themselves and meeting quality submissives who had no reasons to fear making online deposits because they had no nefarious intentions and recognized the Quality Person that I am.  I made new F/friends (always fabulous) and added to My Fetish Family.

That's part of My Fetish Evolution Mission ~ to build Fetish Families and Communities. 

How many people feel completely alone; unable to share ideas, experiences and Fetish joys; are hesitant to attend events because they don't know anyone?  And how many bad experiences are had because creepy people are mixed in with Real Fetishists at "mish-mash-mixed-up" events?   Check out a VIDEO about My Party Concept that I forgot I had in a box in My Wardrobe Room... REAL Fetish is about Community; about nurturing and teaching; welcoming the worthy (those who are truthful about their Fetish expressions and are not out to selfishly take without giving); and being supportive of each O/others' journeys.  Money and/or kink-achievement are NOT the primary motivations for events or Play.

I give thanx every day for all that I have and one of My greatest appreciations is the fact that I have REAL Friends in The Scene and in the vanilla realms.  See this installment of Spiritual Hedonism below.

I pointed out that the wonderful feelings We get when We are participants in rituals is a HUGE part of what makes the event special; separate from everyday experiences.  For example, think of how you felt hearing people sing Happy Birthday to you when you were a child, the candles on your cake, blowing them out and making a wish!  Oh, and the presents!  Do you remember the first time that you did not have the Happy Birthday Experience of childhood?  Somehow, your birthday lost its unique "magic", the birthday experience became diminished, and you've excused it away with being "too old for all that now - it's just another day".  Bah, humbug. 

FYI:  I consider My Birthday the biggest holiday of the year.  It is the day that I was given the Gift of Life and I believe I owe it to The Great Creation to celebrate such a gift as much as I can and as grandly as I can.

Rituals instill and maintain pride, dignity, and a sense of continuity of family, faith, culture, and life itself.  They are an important way for people to come together and share a common bond with the Highest Energy.  Nature has Her rituals with the seasons and the Circle of Life.  Each of Us has rituals ~ large and small ~ to preserve Our lives ~ from brushing your teeth every morning (or so I hope) to celebrating holidays and milestones like graduations and weddings.  And then, there are funerals. 

The Scene Protocols are Our rituals of celebrating Our Lifestyles along with basic respect for self and others.

Why do you want to be in The Scene?  To be a part of the magic?  Or to diminish the joy and beauty that Others who respect and contribute to The Scene have built by following and upholding Our protocols?   If you don't want to follow the protocols of The Scene, stay out of The Scene.

ProDom/mes, it is Your duty to educate clients in basic protocols such as common courtesy (which they should have learned at home, but didn't seem to) and manners - to say "please", "thank you" and to at least, call You "Ma'am" or "Sir" and to show the same consideration to other Dominants.  You may be the first and only introductions to The Scene for many people and You can do a great service to Our Community by putting and keeping people on the right track.

With the deterioration of the Beauty and Art of Fetish from the irresponsible and offensive behaviors of money-grubbers (including Hollywood and the media) and the sleezoids who only think the purpose of Fetish is for and about their genitalia, it is more important than ever to adhere to protocols to improve and preserve the Beauty of Fetish.

Do your part.  If you don't know where to begin, start with My Articles and use search engines for "BDSM education" to find a plethora of resources.  As I always tell people, "Use the internet for something other than looking at porn..."

Writing My Newsletter is for My Amusement - not yours - and for sharing with My Fetish Family.  No one is breaking your arm to read it ~ pity, that pleasure isn't Mine; you can skip that part of My Newsletter (I have even made it easy for My readers to navigate throughout My Newsletter with one click); or you can remove yourself from My Mailing List ~ your complete lack of social grace shows that you don't deserve to be on My Mailing List. 

AND you didn't even tribute Me (link) for all of the enjoyments I have shared and you've selfishly indulged in ~ and now you have the audacity to whine like a ninny.  I'm not ~ and I'm sure that I do not look like ~ your mother, who ruined you to believe that you should be catered to by fabulous women that you've undoubtedly had to seek out.  That's not the type of fantasy that remotely interests Me to Play.  And when was the last time you called your mother?  Do it NOW to get your "fantasy fix" so you can step into reality.

How Do You Judge Yourself?

The purpose of this section of My Newsletter is to stimulate what's best inside of people and encourage you all to let it out and share it with The Whole. 

At last!  The Spiritual Hedonism Blog is ready!  You can subscribe in a reader or by email (see above) or go to the blog and catch up on My Musings.

Below is My latest reflection regarding the path of Spiritual Hedonism, Responsibly Living for Pleasure.  I was inspired to write this because in one day, 7 wonderful people called to cry on My shoulder.  These amazing people (whose contributions to the world are astounding) got caught up in the "stuff" that makes Us all question Ourselves with judgments based on fear, stress, and the negativities that surround Us.  While I listened and tried to be the best friend that I could be in that moment, it became evident that these wonderful people could not see themselves the way that I see them.   They had no idea that they are My S/Heroes and they keep Me inspired and motivated.  So, it is evident that this particular speculation is needed to remind Us that We are all human and should strive to be the best examples of the highest meaning of that term.   This writing offers an opportunity for a perspective which will enhance your life.  I truly hope that you receive what you need.

How Do You Judge Yourself?

Let's face it: there is no way that We do not judge ourselves.  The pity is that We have not been taught through Our socializations to focus on Our special qualities realistically. 

There are far too many people finding fault with what The Universe/Nature has given them and, even worse, far too many people finding false value in what they lack ~ like personalities, compassion, and the ability to "put yourself in another person's shoes" in an effort to understand instead of looking to "make-wrong".

And there are always, always too many miserable folks who want to create wrongs about you and look for any opportunity to speak out to whomever they hope will listen and join in the slander.  Pity them.  These poor creatures seriously suffer from a lack of self-love and never seem to learn that their lives won't get better by attempting to disparage you. 

It is far easier for these creatures to attempt to convince themselves that they are "better" by finding fault with others than to focus on their own achievements and possibly discover that they fall short of their perceptions of greatness.  Rather than take the opportunity to learn and grow, weak people stop their personal development with decisions of self-righteousness based on how they dislike someone else's choices and expressions.

I strongly suggest that you have compassion for these negative, weak folks because they are trapped in a void of self-disdain to the point of being blinded to possibilities for self-improvement and love.  Wish them enlightenment.

Moving on...

I believe that the BEST way to see Who You Are In The World is by the quality of the people who consider you a friend.  Friends are a major part of Our support systems.

I realize how fortunate I am by the fact that not only do I have numerous acquaintances whose company I truly enjoy, I have REAL FRIENDS with Whom I can share the deepest parts of My life, including My Fetish and My vanilla experiences.  I have both Dominant and submissive Friends and friends of all sorts of the vanilla varieties.  

The people who surround Me and care for Me are generous, intelligent, educated, talented, gracious, considerate, skilled, inspired, and courteous, among so many other lovely ways to be.   My friends are from all walks of life, live all over the world (some I have yet to meet in person), and have a wide variety of experiences to willingly share.  They are approachable because they are not afraid to be who they are.   My Friends meet you with the intentions of accepting the great person you are, see you as a potential gem, and allow you a "safe space" to be yourself.   They are great conversationalists as well as listeners.  They give people the benefit of the doubt and offer forgiveness, but will not be taken advantage of.   Their goals are to build a Community of respect for freedom of expression.

My Friends are stylish because they not only care about themselves, but they share My belief that it is One's duty to beautify your surroundings.  My Friends are concerned about the environment and do their parts to make a smaller carbon footprint.  They are movers and shakers, creative, and not afraid to try new things.  They do not give up; they try another way.  My Friends and Associates are animal lovers and respect nature. 

Best of all, My Friends and Associates work on becoming better people and contributors to The Whole every day of Their lives.  I realize that I have outstanding people in My life who consider Me a friend. 

So, how do I judge Myself?  Like everyone else, I have good days and bad days and times when I question Myself and My Mission.  There is a continuous stream of attempts to besmirch Me and what I do by the self-loathing, yet I am smart enough to know to wish them enlightenment and not to be anything more than amused by their desperation to feel valuable with distorted views of the world.  (Some poor wretches have even convinced themselves that the lies they've created are now true and make fools of themselves by telling those lies to others who were witness to what actually occurred!)

The reasons that certain expressions last throughout generations are because they are based on truth.  So, I remember what the wise have said:

"Like attracts like."  "Birds of a feather flock together."  "Water seeks its own level." 

I see the magnificence of My Friends (and Associates) and realize My Truth.   I also realize the quality of My Fetishism!  And since I'm not afraid to meet and share fun with new people, I am blessed with an increasing influx of wonderful people coming into My life!  May you be so blessed and beyond!

  Now, here is where you have to be brave.  You have to take an honest look at the people around you and an honest look at yourself.  If you don't like what you see, you need to be willing to:

1.  Face your truth.   Accept what you don't like about your life and let it be OK that you are at this place in your personal development at this time so that you can make changes for your future.  The present is all there is and where you are right now is a glorious opportunity for you to (i) see how your past has created the circumstances of your  present and (ii) make clear, conscious choices for your future. Only through acceptance can change occur.

2.  Don't "make wrong".  It will not benefit you to look at the people who are in your circle and decide that they are the cause of what you don't like in your life.   Equally, it will not benefit you to make yourself wrong for what is obviously a necessary part of your Life Lessons.  Make yourself right for recognizing that you want to make changes in your life and that you are willing to do so.

3.  Choose qualities of life that you would like to experience.   The biggest mistake people make when they want to implement change is to choose unrealistic goals based on fantasy-based ideals.   For example, if you want to have more intellectual stimulation in your life, it is unwise to set a goal of, "I want to be smarter."  It is wise to create a plan to put yourself in intellectually stimulating situations where you can enhance your education.  This will bring you opportunities to be your own stimulation and to be stimulated by meeting people who share your passions!  The most important part of any plan for change is that the ultimate goal must be to become better as a person who can make greater contributions to The Whole.

4.  Understand that there are no mistakes; only opportunities to be creative.   Change is scary.  It takes a lot of courage to do all of the above and it's easy to get discouraged when you try new and different things - especially different behaviors.  My Mother always told Me, "You never fail; you learn what not to do next time."  So, as the old song goes, "Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again!"

  I believe that I have real friends because I am a real friend.  I give thanx for these gifts of friendship every day.  What kinds of friends do you have?  What kind of friend are you?  The answers to these questions are, in My opinion, one of the best places to begin your path of self-reflection towards the beauty of self-enlightenment.   May you like what you see.

A huge amount of people live in lonely ways in The Fetish Scene.   It is part of My Mission to enhance the opportunities for building Fetish Families and Communities.

~  Homeless Gear.  (ESPECIALLY NOW THAT SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY "OVER", DONATE YOUR STUFF!) - The mission of Homeless Gear is a simple one. Collect unwanted outdoor gear (packs, sleeping bags, etc) and re-distribute these items to the homeless. Homeless Gear intends to find a home for all unwanted outdoor gear and make the outdoors a little more like home for those without permanent shelter.  A segment of the homeless community can not gain entrance into overnight shelters because they have issues with drug or alcohol use. Even if they do find overnight shelter they have to spend the majority of their day outside in the elements. Imagine what a sleeping bag would do for someone forced to sleep or spend the day in their car or under a bridge.

~ FreeRice is a great way to contribute to the world hunger problem while enhancing your vocabulary.  So, it is not only good for you, it is great for your kids.  For each word that you correctly know the meaning of, several grains of rice are placed in a virtual bowl.  When the bowl is full, you continue to create another bowl.  The bowls of rice you create are donated to starving nations.  The site keeps track of your best score and stays challenging with a wide variety of words.  So, feed the hungry every day with FreeRice.  I contribute at least 1000 grains every day.  Go for it!

I REALLY dislike SPAM, but worse, I dislike when My emails go into Y/your spam folder because people did not follow the easy instructions to make sure that Y/you receive My Emails.

So, here's a tip for easy viewing of Y/your spam folder: alphabetize the FROM column.  Y/you should be able to click on the small toolbar above your emails that lists who the emails are from, the subject, etc.  If Y/you click on the FROM tab, your emails should sort alphabetically.  The same goes for navigating your emails by clicking on the Date, Subject and other tabs to sort them for easy reading.  This little tip will save Y/you a lot of time and aggravation.

And be certain to CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER every day!
